God in the writings of Eminescu
George Anca Taking as its starting point the poetic connections between Eminescu, Baudelaire, Tagore and Montale, this study explores the religious and metaphysical dimension of Eminescu’s work — from the myth of Zalmoxe and Dacian immortality to the interpretations of Nichifor Crainic and Arghezi — and proposes a comparative Indo-Romanian perspective that encompasses Eminescu’s sculpture and the contributions of Romanian Indology.
