The pastoral visit of Bishop Atanasie of Râmnic - Noul Severin to the parishes in the Lotru Valley
Fr. Nicolae Moga Bishop Athanasius of Râmnic - Noul Severin carried out a canonical visit on 24-25 August 1903 to the parishes of Brezoi, Mălaia and Voineasa in the Lotru Valley, Vâlcea County, before continuing on a mountain hike to the Vidra outpost. The chronicle of the visit captures the moral and material condition of the parishioners, the history of the churches, local figures such as Professor Traian Bratu, and descriptive accounts of the natural landscape of this valley.
