A two-part volume covering the whole year, centred on the theme of gratitude as the natural state of a person filled with the Holy Spirit, introduced by His Eminence Father Varsanufie — ranging from a study by Father Ioniță Apostolache on the Holy Eucharist as the sacrament of union with Christ in the Church, to an essay by Bogdan Tătaru-Cazaban on The Image of Mercy and Justice and a study by Father Ștefan Zară on gratitude towards God in Origen’s treatise On Prayer, a dossier on national and Râmnic-based memory by Academician Ioan-Aurel Pop (The Church and the Political Unity of the Romanians), Academician Răzvan Theodorescu (‘Saint Constantin Brâncoveanu as a Princely Model’) and researchers into the pastoral and missionary work of Bishops Vartolomeu Stănescu and Filaret of Râmnic, a Treatise on the Veneration of the Icon of Christ by Saint Theodore the Studite, a study by Archimandrite Simeon Kraiopoulos, and an Athonite interview with Father Efrem Vatopedinul, abbot of Vatopedu Monastery.
