Studia Humanitatis No. III (VII) / 2018 Two family stories about reunification Dinu Săraru
The article recalls two generations of heroes from the Săraru family: the author’s grandfather, Costandin Sărariu, who was wounded at Smârdan during the War of Independence and founded churches and schools in Slătioara, and the author’s father, the schoolteacher Lieutenant Constantin Săraru, who fell at Tiraspol on 15 August 1941, whose grave in the Central Orthodox Cemetery in Chișinău disappeared during the Soviet era.
