New information about Saint Calinic’s relationship with other denominations
Hieromonk Antim Motorga This article analyses the correspondence of Saint Calinic of Râmnicu Vâlcea concerning relations with non-Orthodox denominations in the 19th century: the refusal to allow the construction of a Calvinist church in the centre of Craiova (1852), the rejection of the transfer of the Diocese’s land to the Franciscans (1855) and the denunciation of the sale of counterfeit icons by Austrian merchants (1863).
