On steadfastness in the proper worship of God
His Eminence Varsanufie This article examines the nature and role of the Orthodox faith in the knowledge of God, arguing that man cannot reach God through his own reason, but only through revealed faith, the fulfilment of the commandments and divine grace, with reference to Saints John of Damascus, John Chrysostom, Basil the Great, Justin Popovici and Vincent of Lerins.
